Northern Lights – Illuminating Our Experience

The CAP 2019 Conference, being held in Whitehorse, Yukon Territory, focuses on authentic learning. Authentic learning incorporates instructional approaches that allow students to explore concepts which are meaningful, and in the context of real-world issues, but often in unconventional ways. This, in turn, increases student engagement and motivation for learning, and often makes students better equipped for future success. Our speakers will explore a variety of topics, including everything from educational leadership and democracy education, to the First Nations ways of knowing with direct application to on-the-land programming, as well as “decolonizing the classrooms” as a way to engage all learners. Conference speakers will inspire you to think “out of the box” with their enthusiasm and unconventional ideas.

We welcome you to the CAP 2019 Conference, Whitehorse, Yukon Territory.
